From the West

Just out of Ceduna is a turn-off to Streaky Bay on your right. Streaky Bay is approximately 100 kilometres. Make sure you are heading towards Port Lincoln once through Streaky Bay [the turn off is in the township, just past the jetty, on your left - clearly marked.

About 39 kilometres from Streaky Bay you will find the turn-off to the haystacks clearly marked on your right. You will catch a glimpse of the haystacks from the highway before you reach the sign. Look for the turnoff on your right about 1.5km off the main highway.

From the East

All traffic from the east must pass through the town of Port Augusta. The simplest way to find Murphy's Haystacks is to travel on the Eyre Highway towards Ceduna. At Wudinna there is a turn-off to Port Kenny.

From the South

A lot of travellers take the coastal route from Port Augusta and travel around Eyre Peninsula towards Ceduna. The turn-off to Murphys Haystacks is about 90 kilometres N/NW of Elliston [which is about 170 kilometres NNW of Port Lincoln]. You will find the turn-off on your left.

From the North

North Australian visitors would travel to Port Augusta. Use "From the East" to continue...
